Join me on this exhilarating journey where clean design meets an explosion of colors, giving each poster its distinctive charm and making this gallery a testament to the boundless possibilities of creative expression. On the first image the gallery, Illustrator and Photoshop are the main application used to create those posters. On the second image, I used different traditional materials to express my ideas.
I am not afraid of using colors. I have experimented with various methods such as pastels, tie-dye, a combination of dye and watercolor, and embroidery.
In the first drawing, I depicted a small town near my hometown in China, where most houses were painted red, and many monks resided. The mandala served as a representation of Buddhism. I aimed to portray the residents as individuals who consistently find light in the darkness, maintaining an optimistic outlook and overcoming challenges due to their strong beliefs within their hearts.
For the second and third posters, I utilized tie-dye on different textures of paper, discovering that the shade of blue varied significantly depending on the paper used. On the third poster, there are numerous fragments intended to express the idea that as we navigate the journey of life, we continuously evolve and discard the old.
The fourth piece is an embroidery self-portrait, experimenting with a T-shirt. I inverted the figure, symbolizing a reminder to always consider things from a different perspective.
